RefNation was started in 2004 to provide a website service dedicated to sports officials’ associations. Since its inception, demand for this service has dramatically increased. John Grindle was born and raised in San Diego, CA where he has officiated high school and college basketball since 2000. He graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in computer science while working as a referee and umpire for the intramural department. Mr. Grindle combines his technical expertise and passion for officiating to provide the most professional, cost effective sports officiating website possible for his fellow officials.
